Join us as a Client Manager - Assistant Director

  • You’ll build relationships with existing and prospective Institutional Banking customers, working closely with relationship managers help secure new business opportunities
  • You’ll deliver strong customer outcomes while identifying, managing and escalating conduct risk appropriately

What you’ll do

We’re looking for someone who’ll play an active role within the team, sharing best practice with colleagues and consistently delivering excellent customer service. You’ll act as a key point of contact for customer enquiries, resolving issues effectively and helping make sure every interaction meets a high standard.

You’ll work closely with relationship managers to support business growth through the development and management of shadow portfolios and customer referrals. We’ll also look to you to manage business risks effectively, making sure risks are identified, reported and mitigated these within agreed risk appetite and in partnership with the second line of defence.

You’ll also be:

  • Providing customers with the products and services that meet their needs and support their ambitions
  • Demonstrating an entrepreneurial approach when identifying opportunities with existing and prospective customers
  • Managing the complex opening of customer and business accounts
  • Building trusted relationships that create long-term value for customers, colleagues and the bank

The skills you'll need

For this role, you’ll need the ability to work independently across routine customer and transaction activity while meeting customer expectations and delivery deadlines. You’ll bring previous banking experience, including a knowledge of relevant bank systems, processes and products. You’ll pair this with an appreciation of the wider economic and financial outlook.

You’ll also need:

  • Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver Business Reviews
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and colleagues
  • A strong understanding of the Fund Administrator sector and the Alternatives Fund sector, supported by relevant industry experience
