About this Chief Compliance Officer, Impresa Management role at Fidelity Investments

The Role
The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and continuous enhancement of Impresa Management LLC's compliance program. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of compliance, integrity, and ethical conduct throughout the organization while ensuring adherence to applicable federal securities laws, regulations, fiduciary obligations, and internal policies.
You will assist with governance, risk management, and oversight of the firm's wholly owned subsidiaries and affiliated entities, in addition to Impresa, providing guidance on a broad range of compliance issues, including conflicts of interest, trading, financial crimes, and privacy.
Impresa Management LLC is an SEC-registered investment adviser that oversees private investment strategies across venture capital and private equity. The firm's venture capital investments focus on biotechnology, fintech, cryptocurrency, and other breakthrough technologies. Its private equity investments focus on natural resources, telecommunications, and related infrastructure sectors.
In this role, you will:
Work closely with Investment, Legal, Finance, Operations, Risk, Audit, and Technology teams to identify emerging risks.
Serve as the primary liaison with regulators and external auditors regarding compliance matters.
Advise senior management and the Impresa Board on regulatory developments, risk management, governance matters, and compliance best practices.
Support the firm's strategic objectives while maintaining a robust compliance framework.
This role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer for Enterprise Services at Fidelity.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
12 plus years of broad compliance and/or legal experience in the financial services industry with deep knowledge of securities laws.
Private equity and venture capital experience preferred.
4-year college degree required, JD preferred.
Leadership experience to manage a small team.
A strong ability to work and flourish in a fast-moving environment.
A record of success influencing key decision makers through a combination of knowledge, reasoning, and relationships.
Demonstrated success working collaboratively across various teams, including Legal, Finance, Operations, Risk, and Audit, and Technology.
An ability to quickly spot potential regulatory issues, synthesize information and collaborate to make decisions.
Ability to deliver in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities, while maintaining a disciplined, risk‑based approach.
Exceptional integrity, judgment, and ability to challenge thoughtfully and constructively.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
