About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, integrate, validate, and support electrical systems used in autonomous industrial vehicles. The role combines hands-on vehicle integration with disciplined engineering of power distribution, wiring, sensors, compute hardware, communications, and drive-by-wire interfaces.

Role responsibilities

  • Vehicle electrical integration. Design and integrate 12 V / 24 V electrical systems including power distribution, DC/DC converters, sensors, cameras, LiDAR, GNSS, compute systems, routers, and drive-by-wire interfaces.

  • Schematics and harnesses. Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interface drawings, harness documentation, connector pinouts, and installation documentation.

  • Power and protection. Define voltage, current, grounding, fuse, wire-size, connector, voltage-drop, and protection requirements; maintain system power budgets and verify electrical loading.

  • Communication networks. Integrate and troubleshoot CAN / CAN FD / J1939, Ethernet, serial, and other vehicle communication interfaces, including termination, wiring, and network reliability issues.

  • Component selection. Select suitable connectors, cables, relays, fuses, power supplies, sensors, and electrical hardware based on electrical, environmental, reliability, and serviceability requirements.

  • Testing and commissioning. Perform bench testing, vehicle commissioning, functional checks, and verification testing before release to field operation.

  • Troubleshooting. Investigate electrical, power, grounding, intermittent connection, and communication failures using oscilloscopes, multimeters, CAN tools, data loggers, and other diagnostic equipment.

  • Field support. Support prototype builds, production builds, customer deployments, retrofits, and field issue resolution.

  • Validation. Develop and execute test plans covering power behavior, electrical transients, communication reliability, temperature, vibration, ingress protection, and relevant environmental conditions.

  • Documentation and change control. Maintain BOMs, drawings, test records, engineering changes, configuration information, and clear technical documentation.

  • Supplier coordination. Work with cable, connector, power-supply, sensor, and other suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues.

  • Cross-functional engineering. Collaborate closely with electronics, mechanical, embedded software, autonomous-driving, vehicle-control, manufacturing, and field teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Typically 2-5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.

  • Good understanding of DC electrical systems, power distribution, grounding, protection, wiring harnesses, connectors, and electrical interfaces.

  • Practical knowledge of CAN bus and Ethernet-based systems.

  • Experience reading and developing electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Hands-on experience with electrical test and diagnostic equipment.

  • Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and documentation skills.

  • Able to work independently in both laboratory and vehicle / field environments.

Preferred Experience

  • Automotive, commercial vehicle, robotics, autonomous vehicle, mobile machinery, or industrial equipment.

  • 12 V / 24 V vehicle electrical architectures and drive-by-wire systems.

  • CAN / CAN FD / J1939 diagnostics and vehicle communication networks.

  • Harness design, connector selection, crimping, routing, and installation practices.

  • EMC, electrical transient, environmental, vibration, or ingress-protection testing.

  • Functional-safety-related hardware or systems.

  • Engineering tools such as KiCad, Altium, EPLAN, or equivalent.

  • Python or other scripting tools for test automation and engineering data analysis.

Salary is commensurate with experience. We also offer world-class benefits, fantastic culture, flexible working arrangements, and a great international working environment. Come and join us!
