We are seeking a technically proficient and commercially oriented Associate Manager – Speciality Chemicals with 4–8 years of experience in the electronics supply chain. The role focuses on speciality chemical materials used in electronic manufacturing, including epoxy-based potting compounds, silicone-based adhesives and sealants, polyurethane-based conformal coatings, and thermal interface materials.

The ideal candidate will combine domain expertise, application knowledge, technical content development, market intelligence, and sales enablement capabilities. They will translate complex material specifications into clear customer value propositions, support technical and regional sales teams, and drive market segmentation and total addressable market (TAM) analysis to strengthen business growth.

Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Technical Domain Expertise: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of speciality chemical materials used in electronics manufacturing, including epoxy-based potting compounds, silicone-based adhesives, sealants and potting materials, polyurethane-based conformal coatings, and thermal interface materials such as thermal gels, pastes, pads, and gap fillers.
  • Manufacturing Lifecycle & Qualification: Understand the multi-stage qualification, validation, and design-in processes involved in electronic manufacturing. Support customer engagement throughout material evaluation, testing, approval, and adoption, considering the technical risks and switching costs associated with changing chemical components.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Awareness: Maintain a working knowledge of relevant environmental, safety, and material compliance frameworks, including RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), and help communicate compliance-related information to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Technical Value Proposition Development: Translate technical specifications such as thermal conductivity, viscosity, outgassing rates, and purity levels into application-specific commercial benefits, including improved manufacturing yields, enhanced component reliability, longer product life, and better thermal performance.
  • Technical Content Creation: Develop and maintain high-quality technical collateral, including white papers, technical data sheets (TDS), application notes, failure analysis case studies, product selection guides, and other engineering-focused documentation.
  • Competitive & Application Intelligence: Research competing materials, alternative technologies, customer applications, and emerging market requirements. Identify product differentiation opportunities and translate findings into actionable commercial insights.
  • Sales Enablement: Support Field Application Engineers (FAEs), regional sales teams, and product managers with technical presentations, product positioning, application-specific messaging, sales collateral, and customer engagement resources.
  • Market Segmentation & TAM Analysis: Identify target industries, customer segments, end-use applications, and growth opportunities. Conduct total addressable market (TAM) assessments to support market prioritisation, business planning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, technical sales, marketing, and regional teams to align technical capabilities with customer requirements and business objectives.

  • Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes and the qualification, validation, and design-in lifecycle for chemical materials.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and communicate their practical impact on product performance, manufacturing efficiency, and reliability.
  • Experience creating technical documentation and engineering-oriented content, including white papers, TDS, application notes, case studies, and product selection guides.
  • Understanding of competitive intelligence, application analysis, market segmentation, and TAM assessment.
  • Ability to support technical sales teams, Field Application Engineers, regional sales professionals, and product managers with effective sales enablement resources.
