A Day in the Life

Our Northern Europe Inventory Management Team is a virtual, cross-country team supporting Benelux, Germany and the Alps, the Nordics, and the UK & Ireland. Based across three countries, the team works closely with all Medtronic Operating Units to manage consignment inventory across a wide range of portfolios, with the level of consignment varying by business. Through close collaboration across markets and functions, the team helps optimize inventory, support local business needs, and drive consistency and efficiency across Northern Europe.

We are seeking a proactive, data-driven Associate Inventory Analyst to support inventory performance and optimization across Northern Europe. In this role, you will analyse inventory data, identify risks and optimization opportunities, and translate complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations for the business. You will work closely with stakeholders across markets and functions, support negotiations such as consignment reduction discussions, and help drive standardization and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role you improve inventory visibility and achieve stronger inventory performance for assigned Operating Units, provide clear, high-quality consignment insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders, ensure successful delivery of optimization projects with measurable business impact, enable greater standardization across Northern Europe, while still reflecting local market needs, manage your work independently while remaining closely connected to the team and our shared goals, communicate clearly and adapt your style to different audiences, from field teams to senior stakeholders and collaborate effectively, anticipate challenges, and take a proactive approach to solving problems.

Primary responsibilities:

• Monitor inventory performance across one or more Operating Units (OUs) to identify risks, trends, and opportunities to improvement
• Analyse inventory portfolios to support optimization initiatives, including consignment reduction
• Partner with OU teams and internal stakeholders to align priorities, drive and support improvement projects on consignment, and collaborate effectively across a virtual, cross-functional environment
• Develop reports, presentations, and analysis using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Power BI
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making for sales teams and internal stakeholders
• Drive adoption of MMX (Medtronic Mobility eXpress) by promoting it as a self-service tool and encouraging full usage across field Sales Teams
• Gather local market insights and standardize consignment-related processes where possible to shape practical solutions across Northern Europe

Required qualifications:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; Power BI experience is a strong advantage
• Strong written and spoken English
• Experience in end-to-end project management, with a focus on organization, accountability, negotiation and successful delivery

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in inventory management, supply chain, business analysis, project management, or a related area
• Experience working in a matrix or international organization; MedTech industry is a strong advantage

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
