Position Description:
We seek a colleague whose research focuses on the processes that generate the critical mineral deposits required to support the transition to a more sustainable society. We welcome candidates who investigate the distribution, concentration, and behavior of critical minerals in natural systems through the integration of field, laboratory, and/or theoretical approaches. Candidates should demonstrate a record of scholarly achievement and an innovative research program with strong potential to attract external funding.
 

Job Duties:

The selected candidate will provide supervision and mentorship to a diverse cohort of undergraduate and graduate students and contribute to field-, laboratory-, and classroom-based teaching by delivering courses in mineral deposits, geochemistry, and other topics in their field of expertise. All McGill faculty are expected to engage in service activities within their unit, the university, and the broader scholarly community.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:
The selected candidate must have a PhD in the Earth Sciences at the time of appointment.
