Vanguard’s office in India is a significant milestone in our global expansion. We are committed to establishing an enduring technology center in Hyderabad, Telangana and are excited to be adding talent who will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), mobile, and cloud-based technologies that drive our business outcomes and deliver a world-class experience for our clients.

Role Summary

This role delivers advanced front-end engineering and cloud-native development within a product-oriented team. You'll own the design, development, and delivery of Angular applications backed by AWS services, working closely with cross-functional squads to ship features that serve investors at scale. You'll bring deep expertise in modern Angular, a solid understanding of cloud architecture, and the technical maturity to mentor others and drive engineering quality.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver complex Angular applications using modern framework versions (Angular 15+), leveraging standalone components, signals, and current best practices. Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, including serverless functions (Lambda), storage (S3), compute (EC2), and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB). Translate product requirements and technical specifications into well-structured, testable code. Champion automation through robust unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies. Lead front-end optimization efforts — ensuring high performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices and workloads. Integrate APIs, third-party services, and multiple data sources to streamline data flow and improve system efficiency. Advocate and implement best practices for security, data protection, and application resilience aligned with enterprise standards. Collaborate with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, intuitive user experiences. Manage code promotion across development, test, and production environments. Provide production support and maintain change control documentation. Mentor and coach less experienced developers. Lead design reviews, code inspections, and architectural discussions throughout the delivery lifecycle. Communicate technical considerations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including product stakeholders and cross-functional partners. Maintain a broad understanding of the organization's technology landscape, including interfacing systems, shared platforms, and enterprise tooling. Comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies, verifying that deliverables meet security and compliance requirements. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience

  • Expert-level Angular skills with hands-on experience on recent versions (Angular 15+)

  • Strong AWS knowledge — specifically EC2, S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB

  • Node.js development experience

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing (TDD/BDD)

  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration patterns

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across product, design, and engineering teams

Preferred:

  • Experience working in product organizations (product-led delivery, iterating on customer-facing features)

  • Java or Spring Boot experience

  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development experience

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level certification

  • Familiarity with observability tooling (Splunk, Honeycomb, or similar)

  • Knowledge of Agile delivery practices, Confluence, and Jira
