About this Agentic Marketing Engineer role at Euromonitor
Euromonitor International is a global leader in data analytics and market research, providing actionable insights into industries, economies, and consumers. Our products empower organisations to make strategic decisions with confidence, leveraging our expertise across 210 countries and jurisdictions.
About the role
Marketing at Euromonitor is being reimagined. We're building an AI-powered growth engine: agentic, automated, and data and tech led. A B2B marketing system designed for 2030, not 2015.
Behind it sits an advantage most companies would envy: original research from analysts across 210 markets, and decades of proprietary data built over more than 50 years. Our job is to turn that into growth.
And not incremental growth. We're not here for 10% better. We're building for 10x, and then 100x. That ambition sets the standard for everything we do, and everyone we hire.
So this is for people who want to drive transformation, not wait for it. Restless. Ambitious. More interested in building the engine than operating one someone else designed. If that sounds like you, this is a rare moment to join Euromonitor, and something special to be part of.
Purpose of the role
The Agentic Marketing Engineer designs and builds the agentic systems behind that engine, in partnership with the Head of Marketing Engineering. Based in Cape Town, this is a hands-on build role: gathering requirements, mapping how marketing works today, and turning that into automated, agentic solutions built on the wider marketing stack, currently including Marketo and Salesforce. You own the agents you build, and look to improve them continuously. The remit is global, working alongside colleagues in the UK, US and other regions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Gather requirements from marketing colleagues, document their workflows, and design automated, agentic solutions that address them.
- Design, build and maintain the AI agents and automated workflows that do real marketing work end to end: campaign QA, content operations, research, reporting, and lead follow-up.
- Own those agents once they are live: version them, monitor output quality, and improve them over time, with guardrails including testing, human review points, and escalation paths, so their output can be trusted at scale.
- Connect agents to our data lake and the wider marketing stack, including Marketo and Salesforce, using APIs and MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations, so agents act on live marketing data.
- Partner with marketing and technology colleagues across regions, document what you build, and work within Euromonitor's data protection, security, and AI usage standards.
What Success Looks Like:
- Agentic workflows live in production, with their contribution to marketing output measured rather than assumed.
- Agents, integrations, and the data they run on are reliable, well documented, and trusted by the colleagues who use them.
- Colleagues across regions building on what you've shipped and reusing it, rather than starting from scratch.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years' experience building automated systems, integrations or AI agents, for example in software engineering, data engineering, automation engineering or a technical marketing role. Marketing experience is not required, though it is an advantage.
- Fluent English is a must.
- Some experience working with AI, whether in a professional role or through personal projects, is something we look for in every hire joining Euromonitor Marketing right now. For this role, we want to see what you've actually built.
- A solid understanding of Marketo and Salesforce, and how they fit into a wider marketing stack.
- A solid understanding of APIs and MCP based integrations, and how agents use them to connect to live systems and data.
- Practical scripting ability, for example Python or JavaScript, and comfort working hands on with AI agent frameworks and tooling.
- A builder's instinct: prototypes quickly, tests properly, careful with data, and clear in documentation.
Benefits
- Flexible work time with the perfect work/life balance
- Competitive salary with wide variety of benefits like longer holidays, additional health insurance, social responsibility initiatives you can take part in, office perks
- Intelligent and fun colleagues working in a constructive and inspiring atmosphere
