Workday Accounting Center Specialist (Tax & R2R Focus) 

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Accounting Center Specialist with strong expertise in tax configuration and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes. This role is responsible for managing event-driven accounting, ensuring accurate financial postings, and supporting tax-compliant accounting flows across Workday Financials and integrated systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounting Center (Core Focus)

• Configure and maintain Accounting Center frameworks, including Accounting rules and mappings, Source-to-accounting transformations.
• Support event-driven accounting processes, ensuring accurate postings to the General Ledger.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Incorrect mappings, missing accounting entries, Integration data inconsistencies.
• Perform impact analysis for changes affecting accounting flows.
• Collaborate with upstream system owners to ensure data quality and completeness.

Tax Configuration & Compliance

• Configure and maintain Tax codes, rates, and applicability rules, VAT/GST and withholding tax setups
• Ensure proper tax treatment across source transactions feeding Accounting Center, Customer and supplier invoices
• Investigate and resolve tax-related discrepancies in accounting postings.

Record-to-Report (R2R)

• Support end-to-end R2R processes, including Journal entries and adjustments, period-end and year-end close
• Ensure accurate accounting postings generated from Accounting Center.
• Maintain alignment between subledger, Accounting Center, and GL.

System Configuration & Support

• Configure and support Ledgers, accounting structures, and worktags, Business Process Frameworks (BPFs) where relevant
• Support EIB loads, data corrections, and integration testing.
• Perform root cause analysis for system and accounting issues.
