We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Associate who will assist with overall warehouse operations, planning, and daily activities, including receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Supports the planning of efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ordering, storing, receiving and distributing processes.
- Regularly assist with inventory and stock items wherever possible.
- Documents daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory.
- Utilizes software to manage and update inventory records accordingly.
- Communicates with other team members regarding incoming shipments or inventory issues.
- Assists with the inventory system specific to departmental fleet and tool maintenance needs.
- Assist in maintaining accurate purchase order data, including items, quantities, due dates, special instructions, terms and conditions and receipt dates.
- Ensures inbound shipments are received into the system within 24 hours.
- Utilize tool management system to order, classify, and track tools.
- Utilize system to track, manage, and communicate inventory levels and manage jobsite materials.
- Assist with the loading, unloading and inspecting of mobile job boxes for commercial construction jobs.
- Partner with Safety to track and manage inventory for site safety related items.
- Assists warehouse team with additional needs in all areas as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 or more years of experience.
- Detailed system knowledge and inventory experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing parts and tools, a plus.
- Proficiency and familiarity working with computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Excel.
- Attention to detail and strong organization
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly dependable and trustworthy, with ability to self-motivate.
- Must perform work in a safe manner.
Additional Skills Required:
- Possess and demonstrate the ability to safely operate forklifts, trucks and other equipment necessary in warehouse operations
- Strong ability to manage and update digital inventory systems with accuracy and attention to detail
- Skilled in coordinating materials for job sites, ensuring timely delivery and correct documentation
- Familiarity with construction related tools and materials
- Effective at identifying and resolving discrepancies in inventory and shipment records
- Proactive in maintaining warehouse safety standards and supporting a clean, organized work environment
