Job Description
Warehouse Lead Position Summary The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, inventory management, and distribution of materials and products. This role coordinates warehouse activities, maintains inventory accuracy, supports shipping and receiving functions, and promotes a safe and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records. • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits. • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. • Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials. Shipping & Receiving • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments. • Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips. • Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate carrier pickups. • Track shipments and address delivery issues as needed. Warehouse Operations • Organize warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and efficiency. • Coordinate the movement of products and materials throughout the facility. • Ensure warehouse equipment is operated safely and maintained properly. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas. Team Coordination • Communicate daily priorities and workflow requirements to warehouse staff. • Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Customer Service, and other departments. • Provide training and guidance on warehouse procedures and best practices. Safety & Compliance • Follow and enforce company safety policies and procedures. • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations. • Report and document workplace incidents, hazards, and corrective actions. • Participate in safety meetings and inspections. Qualifications Education • High school diploma or GED required. • Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred. Experience • 2-5 years of warehouse, inventory control, logistics, or distribution experience. • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software preferred. Skills • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Basic data-entry and reporting skills. Physical Requirements • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
