Über diese Warehouse Area Manager Stelle bei Spreetail
Spreetail is looking for an operational leader to join our fulfillment network as an Area Manager. In this role, you will take ownership of either Inbound or Outbound shift operations, leading a team of frontline associates and shift leads to hit daily throughput goals while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
This is a critical frontline leadership position designed as a pipeline for advanced operations management across Spreetail’s growing nationwide logistics network.
How you will achieve success:
Operational Execution: Lead day-to-day shift operations across inbound receiving/stow or outbound pick/pack/ship, ensuring strict adherence to customer service-level agreements (SLAs) and quality metrics.
Continuous Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and implement Lean/continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost-per-unit, fulfillment speed, and inventory accuracy.
Team Leadership & Development: Coach, mentor, and build a culture of accountability among shift leads and fulfillment associates. Conduct structured 1-on-1s, drive talent retention, and cultivate internal promotion pipelines.
Capacity Planning & Carrier Coordination: Partner with supply chain planning and freight carriers to balance labor forecasting against inbound/outbound volume and yard capacity.
Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as the direct operational point of contact for external marketplace partners and carrier reps to resolve exceptions, transit delays, and vendor compliance discrepancies in real time.
Safety & Standards Compliance: Champion a zero-incident culture by enforcing safety protocols, auditing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintaining high 5S facility standards.
What experience will help you in this role:
Leadership Experience: 2–4 years of direct supervisory experience managing hourly frontline teams, preferably in a high-volume fulfillment center, distribution hub, or manufacturing environment.
Analytical & Data Competency: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling) with a demonstrated ability to interpret production metrics to make shift-level labor adjustments.
Process Documentation: Practical experience in process mapping, drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training diverse workforces to standardized work instructions.
High Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Demonstrated ability to deliver constructive feedback, resolve floor conflicts constructively, and foster an inclusive, high-performance team culture.
Operational Flexibility: Willingness to work non-standard shifts, including peak-season surges, alternating weekends, or extended hours as business volume dictates.
