Position Summary
The Ward Clerk / Receptionist plays a vital role in supporting daily operations by greeting visitors, answering phones, assisting residents and families, and providing administrative support to clinical and leadership teams.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, residents, families, and vendors in a professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
- Maintain resident records and assist with clerical duties.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and correspondence.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate facility communications as needed.
- Support nursing and administrative staff with data entry, filing, and document management.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure the reception area remains organized and welcoming.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous receptionist, administrative assistant, or healthcare clerical experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
- Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting is a plus.
