Knowledge Centre India (KCI)

Knowledge Center India (KCI) is the central engine that drives the operational value for the firm. Established in 2004, KCI has evolved over the years from purely operational efficiencies into more value-added service offerings, becoming a true business partner. There are various teams based at KCI that work with Global Offices, Practice Groups, and the Management across all aspects of the firm's business life cycle. With a headcount of more than five hundred, the center has five core teams working including Experts, Research Operations, Visual Solutions, Projects/CV Capture and Digital IT, working round the clock on many mission critical elements.

The Global Visual Solutions team was established in 2011 to provide professional formatting and presentation finalization capabilities within the firm.

Currently, the team comprises ~30 members who work across 3 shifts to provide 24/5 coverage to offices worldwide. The team supports consultants, researchers, practice leaders, and partners by providing support across business documents and marketing & digital communication assets.

The team is responsible for providing design and visualization solutions across various mediums and platforms. They offer support in maintaining brand and template adherence for all internal and external communication, document conversion and ensuring brand consistency across channels. Additionally, the team collaborates with the global community to create innovative videos, thought papers, newsletters, merchandise, interactive learnings, immersive experiences and many other web and digital collaterals.

Requirements

The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced multidisciplinary Designer with a niche in UIX Design. Someone who is passionate about creating exceptional digital experiences from concept through execution. This role goes beyond designing screens. You will own complete user journeys, champion user-centred design practices, collaborate across multiple teams, and play a critical role in building, scaling, and governing our design system.

You will work closely with product managers, developers, researchers, content specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver intuitive, scalable, and impactful experiences that drive both user satisfaction and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

End-to-End Experience Ownership

• Lead the design of complex digital products and services from discovery through delivery.
• Own entire user experiences, ensuring consistency across customer journeys, touchpoints, and platforms.
• Translate business goals, user needs, and technical requirements into elegant design solutions.
• Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Content, and Business teams throughout the product lifecycle.

• Facilitate workshops, design reviews, and collaborative working sessions.
• Influence product strategy by advocating for user needs and design best practices.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively communicate design decisions.

Design System Leadership

• Define, maintain, and evolve the firm's design system.
• Establish and enforce design standards, patterns, accessibility requirements, and governance processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design components are implemented consistently.
• Drive adoption of the design system across products and teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and design consistency.

User-Centered Design

• Leverage user research, analytics, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Validate concepts through prototyping, testing, and iterative feedback loops.
• Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and responsive design principles.
• Continuously improve experiences based on user insights and data.

Design Excellence & Mentorship

• Raise the overall quality of design across the organisation.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level designers.
• Contribute to design culture, processes, and best practices.
• Stay informed about emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications

Required

• 7+ years of experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or Experience Design.
• Proven track record of designing complex digital products and end-to-end user experiences.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, visual design expertise, and measurable business impact.
• Experience building, managing, and governing design systems at scale.
• Deep understanding of user-centred design processes and methodologies.
• Expertise in Figma and modern design/prototyping tools.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.

Preferred

• Experience working in enterprise, SaaS, or large-scale digital environments.
• Understanding of accessibility guidelines and inclusive design practices.
• Familiarity with front-end development principles and design-to-development workflows.
• Experience facilitating design workshops and strategic planning sessions.
• Experience leading or mentoring designers.
