This is a Home-based role in the Houston, TX Area.

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, the Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing front‑line technical service and support to customers while delivering a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. This is a home‑based role supporting customers throughout the Greater Houston, TX area with regional travel. 

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Videojet coding and marking equipment at customer facilities  

• Travel throughout the Greater Houston territory to support manufacturing customers, with most work completed during the day and limited overnight travel  

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software‑related issues and deliver effective, timely solutions  

• Build strong, trusted relationships with customers by acting as a technical advisor and problem solver  

• Support business growth by identifying opportunities to promote service agreements and newer technology solutions 

Travel is primarily regional within the Houston, TX area and is planned in-advance to allow flexibility in managing schedules, routes, and customer visits. Overnight travel is occasional and not routine. 

The essential requirements of the job include:

• A minimum of 2 years of technical, mechanical, electrical, or field service experience.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel  

• Ability to comply with customer safety requirements, PPE standards, and site access policies  

• Valid driver’s license with the ability to safely operate a company vehicle 

Your Education and/or Background Experience will include:        

• Technical Degree preferred and/or relevant military training; other backgrounds welcome to apply with relevant work history.

• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, lift, stretch, bend, and squat throughout the day.

• Must be comfortable with day travel and home most evenings; but also frequent overnight travel

It would be an asset if you have:

• Technical Agility - Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Computer Hardware and Software; having the desire to work with best-in-class technology and learn new skills.

• Strong Interpersonal skills. Being able to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization, from front line operators to senior management, and remaining professional at all times.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Sense of Urgency - Having the drive and motivation to take action and prioritize daily tasks; working strategically to ensure we are getting to every customer.

• Adaptability-being able to think quickly and respond positively to change.
