At Quartzy, your work has an impact - on your life, your career, and on science worldwide.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and manage strong, profitable, and lasting supplier partnerships by negotiating pricing, terms, growth targets, incentives, and service expectations.

  • Drive supplier profitability and commercial performance by analyzing cost of goods, margin, sales, and growth trends and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and execute supplier growth strategies, including pricing initiatives, promotional programs, incentives, and other opportunities to increase sales and customer engagement.

  • Lead supplier business reviews to evaluate performance, identify opportunities and gaps, establish priorities, and align on actionable plans for growth.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Quartzy to identify opportunities, address supplier and operational challenges, improve processes, streamline workflows, and support system and supplier integrations.

  • Own the resolution of escalated supplier issues, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to drive timely resolution and maintain strong relationships.

  • Ensure data integrity across supplier catalogs and Quartzy systems, including Salesforce, Looker, and the Quartzy application.

  • Own supplier catalog health and optimization, developing and executing strategies to improve product content, data quality, assortment, and performance, including de-duplication and standardized catalog imports.

  • Develop and deliver cross-system performance reporting to provide leadership and key stakeholders with actionable insights into supplier performance, profitability, growth, and opportunities.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the supplier portfolio, using customer demand, performance data, market trends, and business priorities to inform supplier strategy.

  • Strategically manage and prioritize a portfolio of suppliers based on business performance, customer demand, strategic importance, and growth potential.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or a related field.

  • 3–5+ years of relevant professional experience in Vendor Management, Sales, Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Project Management, or a comparable role.

  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry, specifically in Life Science Sales, Scientific Distribution, Vendor/Supplier Management, or a closely related role.

  • Strong commercial and business acumen, with an understanding of pricing, margin/GP, ROI, profitability, and business performance.

  • Proven experience building and managing strong business relationships, including negotiating pricing, terms, incentives, and growth opportunities.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to evaluate performance, identify trends and opportunities, and translate data into actionable recommendations.

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, CRM systems, and BI/reporting tools, with the ability to manage data and develop meaningful performance reporting.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and leadership.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, troubleshoot issues, and make sound business decisions.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain data accuracy, and follow through on commitments.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to roll up your sleeves, with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and get things done in a fast-moving environment.

  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work independently, partner effectively across teams, and adjust to changing priorities.
