VCT Homeroom Engineer

• Position Description

• VCT development (Hydraulics, structural, dynamics design work), lead VCT design, create DFMEA and DVPR, analyze test and simulation data.
• Work closely with global members (manufacturing, product, validation, quality group) to develop new VCT products
• Work with suppliers to learn and develop new manufacturing processes
• Support global application team and projects.
• Provide support for manufacturing / quality / supplier development investigation of global VCT application team when needed.

• Experience/background

• Bachelor/Master Degree on Mechanical engineering or similar degree is preferred
• More than 10years of experience in engineering field is preferred.

・ 　Work experience as engineer or development engineer for automotive engine component is preferred.

・　 Understands the fundamentals of automotive components 

• Skill

• Fluent in Japanese
• Understands and can follow product design procedure
• Works diligently and is positive in learning new products

・ 　Action oriented. Can work proactively on its own

・ 　Has the skill to communicate across different groups (within and outside of Product Engineering)

・  Can report to the manager at a timely manner.

・ 　Has the necessary PC skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)

• Capable of holding engineering explanation and discussion with BorgWarner global team. Capable of understanding and expressing in English.
• Has a good understanding of hydraulics, dynamics, structural design, controls and GD&T.
