Job Responsibilities

• Translate spoken conversations from Polish to English and English to Polish.

• Translate passages from Polish to English and English to Polish.

• Translate sent and received emails.

• Facilitate accurate communications between the Shift Supervisor and host nation military Base Defense Operation Centre personnel.

• Identify essential communications from the host nation military Base Defense Operation Centre personnel and ensure concerns are appropriately communicated to the Shift Supervisor.

• Other duties as assigned by the management.

Job Qualifications

• Must have at least one (1) year of experience working with ex-pat Private Security Company (PSC) in a fast-moving environment.

• Experience as an interpreter with US Government Agencies, Coalition Forces / military units (preferred).

• Experience dealing with senior military officers and officials from the Government of Poland (preferred).

• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to approved processes and procedures.

• Consistently demonstrates integrity, trustworthiness, loyalty, and commitment.

• Ability to work under pressure and in austere living conditions with the potential for an element of danger.

• Fluency in spoken and written English and Polish.

• Intermediate level skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint).

• Good communication skills.

• Able to create and maintain positive working relationships in a multicultural team.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

• Individuals must be able to sit and concentrate for extended periods.

• Individuals must maintain clarity of mind and stay calm even in high-stress and potentially dangerous situations.
