 Job Title: The Specialist Digitalization Engineer (Greenfield)           

KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently seeking experienced professionals for the position listed below in support of a major Offshore Project. The role will be based at either the Client's Office or the Contractor's Office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Purpose

The Specialist Digitalization Engineer (Greenfield) is responsible for leading and coordinating digital engineering, information management, smart asset, and digital transformation initiatives during the execution of the  Offshore Project. The role ensures seamless integration of digital tools, engineering data, asset information models, digital twin solutions, and operational readiness requirements throughout the project lifecycle from FEED through EPC, commissioning, start-up, and handover.

The position plays a critical role in establishing ADNOC's digital asset foundation and ensuring that all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning data are structured and delivered to support future operations, maintenance, reliability, and asset performance management.

Key Responsibilities

Digitalization Strategy & Governance

• Develop and implement project digitalization strategies in line with ADNOC Offshore standards and digital transformation objectives.
• Define digital engineering requirements, workflows, data standards, and governance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC Information Management and Digitalization requirements.
• Establish project digital execution plans and monitor implementation across EPC contractors and vendors.

Digital Engineering & Information Management

• Lead implementation of Digital Engineering and Smart Asset methodologies for greenfield offshore facilities.
• Ensure engineering data, vendor data, and project documentation are captured in accordance with project information standards.
• Develop and maintain Project Information Models (PIM) and Asset Information Models (AIM).
• Define metadata standards, data taxonomy, coding structures, and information classification schemes.
• Manage engineering information throughout the project lifecycle.

Digital Twin & Smart Asset Development

• Support implementation of Digital Twin and Smart Asset initiatives for offshore platforms and associated facilities.
• Ensure design and engineering deliverables are suitable for Digital Twin deployment and lifecycle management.
• Coordinate integration of engineering models, operational data, and maintenance information.
• Support digitization of asset performance and operational readiness requirements.

Systems Integration

• Coordinate integration between:
  • Engineering design systems
  • Document management systems
  • Asset management systems
  • Maintenance management systems
  • Process control and automation systems
  • Data analytics and reporting platforms
• Ensure effective transfer of engineering information from EPC contractors to ADNOC operational systems.
• Facilitate interoperability between engineering software platforms and digital asset solutions.

Data Quality & Governance

• Establish project data quality requirements and validation processes.
• Conduct periodic audits and assessments of digital deliverables.
• Monitor completeness, consistency, and accuracy of engineering and asset data.
• Manage data cleansing, validation, and migration activities.

Construction, Commissioning & Handover Support

• Ensure digital deliverables are aligned with construction and commissioning requirements.
• Support development of asset registers and equipment master data.
• Coordinate digital asset readiness activities during commissioning and start-up phases.
• Lead preparation and verification of digital handover packages to operations.
• Validate final data delivery and operational information readiness.

Analytics & Reporting

• Develop digital performance dashboards and project reporting tools.
• Monitor digitalization KPIs and project information maturity.
• Support analysis of engineering and operational data.
• Generate management reports related to digital transformation progress.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Support implementation of cybersecurity requirements for digital systems.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC digital governance frameworks and industry best practices.
• Participate in project audits, assurance reviews, and digitalization assessments.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in:

• Computer Engineering
• Information Systems
• Instrumentation & Control Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Automation Engineering
• Computer Science
• Other relevant engineering discipline

Master's Degree in Digital Engineering, Data Management, Information Systems, or related discipline is advantageous.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, or Major Infrastructure Projects.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Digitalization, Information Management, Digital Engineering, or Smart Asset implementation.
• Proven experience in Greenfield Offshore EPC/EPCI projects.
• Experience supporting large ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, Shell, BP, TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, or similar projects is preferred.
• Experience in project execution from FEED to Start-up and Operations Handover.
• Demonstrated experience with Digital Twin and Asset Information Management implementation.
