Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an  Test Engineer, located in Guadalajara, South Campus.

Reporting to the Test Engineer Manager, the role involves responsibilities for activities of personnel engaged in the troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of manufacturing equipment in order to attain goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing. 

• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data. 

• Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues. 

• Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel. 

• May develops or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software. 

• Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques. 

• Resolves test yield problems by performing evaluation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements. 

• Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production. 

• Create and maintain process documentation. 

• Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector. 

• Defines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations. 

 The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
•  Minimum 4 years of experience in Test Engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Experience with In-Circuit Testing (ICT), Functional Testing, ESS (Environmental Stress Screening), and/or Systems & Software Testing.

 Knowledge of programming languages used for test development, such as Python, LabVIEW, Perl, or similar.

• Experience developing, modifying, and supporting test programs, fixtures, and test hardware.
• Knowledge of Design for Testability (DFT) and fault analysis.
•  Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, PCB documentation, and technical specifications.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and electronic measurement tools.
• Knowledge of PCB assemblies, electronic components, and electronics manufacturing processes.
• Advanced English communication skills, including technical report writing and documentation.
• Strong project coordination, leadership, and mentoring skills.
•  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
