The Territory Manager (TM) will be responsible for driving sales in accounts across the South of UK. They will successfully drive highly complex hospital sales from introduction of a new screening and diagnostic concepts through closure and implementation, working with physicians, laboratory, infection control, Quality Assurance and executive staff members to identify needs, gain consensus, and close new assay and instrumentation business as rapidly as possible.

This position is part of the U.K. South Sales Department and will be located in the South of England as a remote working position.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Manage and grow business in both new and existing Cepheid accounts
• Expand menu utilization and develop demand for the adoption of new assays and instrumentation both in the Lab and in Point of care (POC) settings
• Negotiate and manage contracts including working with Managed Service Contracts
• Introduce new testing concepts and products
• Use Salesforce CRM to manage customer and account data

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Strong track record of sales success, specifically in selling premium product
• Expertise with demand creation and multi-departmental hospital sales
• Strengths in networking and relationship development
• Experienced in managing stakeholders throughout the UK healthcare hierarchy. This includes but is not limited to lab technicians, lab managers, clinicians, hospital administration, purchasing and government officials
• Educated to degree level preferably in biological or health related subjects

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

• Up to 90% travel in the UK with occasional inter Europe and international travel
• As the majority of the accounts are based in South UK the successful candidate will be expected to spend the majority of their time in this region
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Molecular/PCR diagnostics
• Experience with the customer base within territory is a plus
• Pre-existing relationships within the territory would be advantageous
