About the role

Job Summary
The Lead (Field) Service Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, calibrating, and repairing technical products and systems at customer field locations. This role performs a variety of maintenance and technical support tasks and may provide onsite training to customer support personnel.
This job profile is intended for experienced support-level staff that generally works autonomously and only requires closer supervision in non-routine situations.

Required Education

• Intermediate or Advanced Electromechanical Technician (equivalent to FP I / FP II) or equivalent hands-on experience.

Specific Knowledge

• Basic Occupational Risk Prevention Training (Nivel Básico) and safety training related to the risks of the specific work area..

• Valid driver’s license.

Purpose of the Role

Ensure the delivery of high‑quality service in the maintenance and repair of equipment both in the workshop and at customer sites. Provide technical troubleshooting and support in coordination with the Workshop Manager and the Service Center team.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Work

• Execute planned tasks assigned by the Team Leader, delivering high‑quality mechanical and electrical service to company customers (commissioning, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and automation).

• Provide technical solutions to day‑to‑day issues in coordination with the Workshop Manager.

• Supervise installations, assemblies, and commissioning activities performed by Sulzer subcontractors in the area, following the instructions of the Workshop Manager.

• Act as a point of contact for the Sales team in the assigned region, assisting with technical site visits when required for measurements, analysis, studies, or when the complexity of a quotation or project justifies technical involvement.

• Perform driving and delivery tasks for the Mining & Construction division (delivery of pumps to customers) whenever required by the Workshop Manager based on the workload and work organization.
