As a Technology & Maintenance Manager, you will lead the transformation of the maintenance organization towards a reliability-driven, data-supported and preventive maintenance model.

You will be responsible building the foundation for long-term asset reliability, operational excellence and continuous improvement maintenance and technology department. The Zaandam site is on a journey to further professionalize its maintenance organization.

This role combines technical leadership, stakeholder management, CAPEX management and operational excellence. You will balance short-term operational priorities with long-term asset reliability while driving maintenance maturity, safety performance and sustainable plant improvements. This all in the context of a global organisation with multiple plants and important stake holders in North America.

Your key responsibilities will be: 

• Lead the development and maturity of the maintenance organization, including maintenance planning, preventive maintenance, CAPEX projects, asset data, reliability processes and continuous improvement programs.
• Develop and drive preventive, predictive and reliability-based maintenance strategies, including asset criticality assessments, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Actively participate in budgeting, forecasting and resource planning for maintenance and capital expenditures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, asset integrity and operational excellence.
• Lead cross-functional stakeholder alignment between Operations, Engineering, SHEQ, Finance and external service providers in a local and global context.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of maintenance, reliability or engineering experience within a manufacturing environment with global stakeholders.
• Proven experience in developing and professionalizing maintenance organizations, including maintenance planning, preventive maintenance reliability improvement, CAPEX,  and asset management processes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across operational and corporate functions.
• Full professional proficiency in Dutch and English.
