You’ll work alongside GDIT technical teams and customer counterparts while preparing for a successful transition into the civilian engineering and countermeasures workforce.

As a Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) Fellow, you will train under the guidance of senior engineers and specialists to understand how electrical, electromechanical, and computer systems are designed, evaluated, tested, and maintained for secure facilities (SCIFs) and other mission-critical environments. During the Fellowship, you will support site survey activities, system testing efforts, and compliance observations while learning how customer systems meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to gain insight into technical problem-solving, threat assessments, and the processes used to advance countermeasures technologies.

  • Testing & Documentation: Conduct various tests on systems and components, documenting results and identifying opportunities for improvements or design changes.

  • Research & Development: Develop and contribute to research and development plans to advance countermeasures technology and improve system security.

  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure that customer equipment is maintained in line with manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements, adjusting methods, design, or equipment as necessary.

  • Special Projects: Participate in special engineering projects as needed, contributing technical expertise and leadership.

  • Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance to junior engineers and serve as a technical resource for team members, without formal people-management responsibilities.

  • Threat & Trend Analysis: Prepare assessments of current security threats and trends, analyzing intelligence data and providing recommendations for countermeasures.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science in a related field (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).

  • Experience: 9+ years of experience in countermeasures engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
