Responsibilities
· Commission deployed systems around the world, either onsite or remotely, and supports and trains others to perform this function safely and efficiently.
· Respond to issues escalated by field engineers, technicians, support partners, and customer support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro-mechanical equipment that includes computers, software and controls systems.
· Perform system analysis and development activities to address operational issues. This will involve complex data analysis, O&M and operational reviews, and problem solving, often self-directed.
· Develop and deliver training for internal personnel, customers and support partners, all of which may require domestic/international travel.
· Develop data analysis standards including the monitoring and assessment of system operational data to determine current and emerging issues, identifying and implementing operational optimisation strategies, and defining implementation actions to address these.
· Engage with customers on operational issues to drive system availability and operational optimisation.
· Support, and in some cases lead, sustainment activities of earlier-generation systems and components to improve performance and maintainability.
· Monitor systems in the field and provides technical support assistance. Clear and concise communication methods are required, both written and verbal, to ensure field engineers, engineering teams and customers receive and understand the relevant technical support and safety guidance.
· Support and engage in continuous improvement activities across the business. Identify, capture, document, and implement technical and process improvements within the Customer Operations group.
· Maintain good relationships with customers, and technical and managerial staff at all customer sites.
· Must be able and willing to travel and work at global offices and customer sites often at short notice. While uncommon, travel for up to four weeks may be required. Approx 30% travel is expected potentially more.
· Other tasks as required and as reasonable across customer sites and Invinity premises.
Essential experience, skills, and qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering
· Ability to work safely and follow documented procedures; strong competence using hand tools or ability to learn
· Potential to produce thorough and accurate analyses, O&M procedures, root cause and corrective actions reports, and other supporting documentation and procedures
· Proficiency in data analysis and programming (i.e. Python, Pandas, Bash, PowerShell)

Desirable or willing to learn
· Any experienced in commissioning, maintaining and troubleshooting of battery energy storage systems
· Customer-facing experience
· Understanding of renewable energy generation, inverter/rectifier systems, or energy storage
· Understanding of commissioning of electrical and mechanical equipment
· Familiarity with industrial communications protocols and networks (i.e. Modbus RTU/TCP, CAN bus, TCP/IP networks, fibre optics, etc)
