What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the design and implementation of the organization's Data Governance framework.
• Define and oversee metadata management, data catalog, business glossary, data lineage, and role-based access control (RBAC) strategies.
• Establish data quality and data security methodologies, including automated quality controls, data classification, access governance, auditing, and PII protection.
• Lead infrastructure assessments and fit-gap analyses to support platform sizing and architecture decisions.
• Define and execute data warehouse modernization and migration strategies, including coexistence approaches, CDC, reconciliation, and controlled decommissioning of legacy platforms.
• Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs), define acceptance criteria, and present recommendations that support architectural decisions.
• Define engineering standards for Data Engineering, DataOps, CI/CD, MLOps, and AI-powered development practices.
• Establish AI governance and AI engineering frameworks, including model lifecycle management, responsible AI practices, and agentic AI integrations.

You Are a Good Match If You Have

• Strong knowledge of data governance standards and frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and maturity assessment models such as TM Forum.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Architect leading data platform implementations or enterprise data warehouse modernization initiatives.
• 10+ years of overall experience in technology, data, analytics, or enterprise architecture environments.
• Experience with data security frameworks, including RBAC, IAM, dynamic data masking, auditing, and enterprise identity management solutions.
• Native Spanish speaker with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with modern Lakehouse architectures using Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Trino, dbt, Airflow, Kafka, and Debezium.
• Experience working with object storage platforms such as MinIO, Amazon S3, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience operating Kubernetes-based environments, including OpenShift, Rancher, or managed cloud platforms.
• Experience migrating from Oracle Data Warehouse or other legacy enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of TM Forum frameworks, including SID, eTOM, and Data Maturity Models.
• Experience with MLOps platforms such as MLflow, KServe, and Evidently.
• Experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG architectures, MCP (Model Context Protocol), or AI-enabled data platforms.
• Cloud certifications related to AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes (CKA), or OpenShift.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code or similar platforms, including governance, quality gates, and automated migration of legacy data pipelines.
