Job Description:

The Presales Technology Architect provides technical consulting, design, and leadership in the creation and delivery of solutions tailored to customer business needs. This role involves building trusted advisor relationships, maintaining industry and technology knowledge, and supporting sales efforts through technical expertise, especially in specialized domains such as NonStop systems.

Core Responsibilities:

• Technical Solution Design & Implementation:

  • Lead or contribute to the development of detailed technical designs for enterprise solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.

  • Implement or oversee the implementation of technical solutions, including hardware/software upgrades, licensing, and system integrations.

  • Develop high-level design documentation and technical proposals; translate customer requirements into actionable plans.

  • Provide technical leadership on integration activities, solution architectures, and problem resolution.

• Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, fostering effective relationships to ensure satisfaction and successful project delivery.

  • Conduct technical presentations and oral status meetings with clients, articulating complex issues confidently.

  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, services, pricing, and system configurations, especially within the NonStop domain.

• Pre-Sales Support & Business Development:

  • Participate in pre-sales activities, including creating and reviewing quotes, proposals, and technical responses.

  • Support the sales team by providing technical input, solution options, and value propositions.

  • Collaborate with Product Management and other teams to clarify product capabilities, resolve issues, and enhance offerings.

• Solution & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Contribute to organizational knowledge through documentation, knowledge briefs, service delivery kits, and community participation.

  • Share expertise on NonStop systems and other relevant technologies with team members.

  • Engage with internal teams via meetings, training, and conferences to stay current and disseminate best practices.

• Project Leadership & Delivery:

  • Lead small to medium technical projects, coordinating with project managers and client stakeholders.

  • Provide planning, design, and technical oversight throughout project lifecycles.

  • Ensure timely delivery of solutions, including order tracking, issue resolution, and quality assurance.

• Operational & Process Support (Specific to NonStop Workload):

  • Support sales and presales activities for NonStop systems in EMEA & LATAM regions.

  • Create and manage quotes in QMS tools, including budgetary, legal, and customer-specific quotes for new systems, upgrades, and licensing.

  • Engage with teams such as Product Management, NonStop Ordering, and Global Operations to ensure accurate order processing, pricing, and delivery.

  • Perform margin analysis, optimize pricing strategies, and assist in discount decisions.

  • Provide training and knowledge sharing regarding QMS tools, product updates, and processes.

  • Support virtual NonStop solutions, including Bill of Material creation and validation.

• Knowledge & Skill Development:

  • Maintain and deepen expertise in multiple technical domains, including specific knowledge of NonStop systems.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and company solutions.

  • Mentor team members and contribute to skill development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years of professional experience with a strong technical background in relevant areas.

• Proven experience leading technical design, delivery, and customer interactions.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear language.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work proactively.

• Specific knowledge of NonStop systems and related sales/support processes is highly desirable.

• Proficiency with tools such as QMS, Salesforce, and related systems.
