ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and organised Team Leader to join our Dishpatch team under the Waitrose line of business.

In this role, you will support the Senior Fulfilment Associate to deliver operational excellence, by engaging, motivating and leading the Fulfilment team to deliver daily operational requirements.

So, what is Dishpatch? Dishpatch, the meal-kit delivery service that provides restaurant-quality home dining made by some of the UK’s leading chefs.

Dishpatch replicates a restaurant experience without leaving the house with chef-prepared dishes. Customers can choose from over 30 Dishpatch menus delivered to their doorstep nationally on Fridays – perfect timing for an indulgent weekend meal! Unlike other meal kit companies, Dishpatch’s dishes come pre-prepared with only a few simple steps to finish and serve, truly taking the hassle out of high-end home dining for our customers.  In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £3.75 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

• Salary  - £16.28 per hour
• Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract.
• Working pattern/flexible working - 37.5 hours per week Monday to Saturday. Occasional weekend and Bank Holiday work may be required during busy periods.
• Location - Dishpatch, North Greenwich

Key responsibilities

You will support the daily operations of the fulfilment and production kitchen, ensuring that all fulfilment and production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and accurately.

You will support the quality of production and fulfilment, ensuring all food is accurately portioned as per spec

You will be responsible for compliance with internal fulfilment processes, ensuring company Food Safety policies are respected. 

You will also act as a point of escalation for the Fulfilment team, and communicate with the production and ops team on a daily basis.

Essential skills/experience you’ll need

• Minimum of two years leading teams within food logistics or comparable sectors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities, demonstrating the ability to inspire and guide a workforce.
• Demonstrates resilience and agility in high-pressure settings, managing diverse responsibilities and competing demands with ease.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and experience with warehouse management software.
• Strong proficiency in text comprehension and numerical logic

Desirable skills/experience you may have

• Certified in Food Safety Level 2
• Certified in allergen awareness
• Supervisory management qualification
