The Role

We are currently seeking a Team Leader – Design & Drafting, Rail & Metro, with proven experience managing teams and delivering on rail transport infrastructure projects across the industry to join our Brisbane office.

The successful candidate will have a minimum 12+ years’ experience in design or drafting and will provide support to lead and help manage team capability in the region and source business opportunities to support the ongoing activities of a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and leadership guidance across the team's portfolio
• Provide input to projects at a project management and/or review level to achieve reliable project performance in terms of both timeliness and quality
• Effective management and leadership of the team to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention, and professional development
• Provide input to the group business plan and implement the team's components of the plan

About You

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Advanced Diploma
• Minimum 12 + years’ industry experience
• Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to train junior employees
• Sound aptitude to prepare technical reports and prepare proposals for a range of projects
• A track record of achievement in a similar role and a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
