About the Role 

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Resettlement Specialist to support the preparation and implementation of land acquisition and involuntary resettlement activities for major road and highway infrastructure projects in Papua New Guinea.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and implementation of Resettlement Action Plans (RAP), Land Acquisition and Resettlement Action Plans (LARAP), and related safeguard instruments

• Identify Project Affected Persons, vulnerable households, and affected assets.

• Support implementation of land acquisition and resettlement activities during project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, or related discipline 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in involuntary resettlement, preferably for transport projects, funded by MDBs.

• Male or female

• Good communication in English Language
