Role overview

This role will lead and supervise a team of 8–10 team members supporting the end-to-end procurement lifecycle across the Asia Pacific region. This role integrates four critical functional streams into one cohesive operational unit: Sourcing & Procurement Support, Contracting & Governance, Vendor Data Management (VDM), Vendor Performance Management (VPM).

As the direct leader, you will ensure seamless execution of daily operations, from strategic sourcing support and contract governance to vendor onboarding, data integrity, and ongoing performance monitoring. You will be responsible for workload allocation, capability building, quality assurance and productivity improvement ensuring consistent service delivery to JLL and its clients.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Operations

• Lead and manage a team of 8-10 team members, providing day-to-day direction, mentoring & performance oversights.
• Monitor team bandwidth, scope incoming requests, allocate work, and ensure timely delivery in alignment with agreed SLAs.
• Lead or support new business transition.

Functional Oversight & Execution

• Sourcing Support: Guide the team in executing category plans, market analysis, tendering processes, and supplier evaluations. Act as the primary escalation point for complex sourcing queries.
• Contracting & Governance: Supervise the team’s management of the centralized contract register, ensuring timely processing of contract requests, monitoring expiring contracts, and compliance with legal/client requirements.
• Vendor Data Management (VDM): Ensure the team maintains high-quality vendor master data, manages onboarding/offboarding processes, and keeps accurate records to mitigate third-party risk.
• Vendor Performance (VPM): Oversee the end-to-end VPM cycle managed by the team, including scorecard creation/distribution in Jaggaer, CAP tracking, and SPM coordination.

Process Improvement & Quality Assurance

• Monitor key operational metrics and perform quality reviews of team output to ensure adherence to brand guidelines and best practices, implement corrective actions where targets are not met.
• Establish, implement, and continuously improve team workflows, policies, and processes to drive operational efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks and develop standardized tools, frameworks, or automation/AI opportunities to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure timely escalation of performance issues or risks or client’s complaints proactively, maintaining an up-to-date issue log.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate with stakeholders and clients to manage expectations, resolve escalations, and communicate on project status.
• Ensure all team activities adhere to JLL’s global procurement policies, local regulations, and client-specific SLAs.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, status reports, and documentation for client and internal use.

Knowledge, key skills & Abilities

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related fields.

Professional Experiences:

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management.

Key Skills:

• Experiences in managing end-to-end RFP/RFQ processes, vendor selection, and contract administration. Hands-on experience with major Procurement/ERP systems (e.g., Ariba, Oracle, SAP, Jagger) for process execution and vendor management.

• Relevant management experience and applied knowledge of facilities management, maintenance operations and engineering will be highly regarded.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Excel (Advanced), or other AI-driven analytics tools is mandatory.
• Ability to develop and maintain dashboards, analyze procurement data, and generate clear reports to support decision-making.
• Adaptability to new tools and platforms as per business requirements

Communication:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English
• Prior experience working with global or international client teams with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization;
