Overview
This position is responsible for driving, leading and supporting the commercial growth, and market expansion of Conventional and Takaful Bancassurance solutions across the Private and Priority Banking segments. The leader will establish rigorous sales governance, directly enable and support frontline Banca advisory talent, and take personal lead accountability for supporting and unlocking high-value insurance sales across the Priority and Private segment.. This role reports to the Head - Regional Wealth Management (Insurance & Wealth Planning).
Job Responsibilities:
1. PVPB Sales Leadership & Segment Expansion
Take the lead in supporting and unlocking sales pipelines within the PVPB segment by acting as the primary advisory and sales partner for frontline.
Be the primary support contact point for all PVPB Banca sales activities, inquiries, and escalations.
Proactively resolve all PVPB and BA sales challenges, operational issues, and special requests from the frontline.
Develop and execute the overall PVPB bancassurance strategy to achieve ambitious sales targets and business goals for both Conventional and Takaful solutions.
Identify, structure, and pursue new market opportunities to deepen wallet share.
Collaborate closely with PVPB Regional Heads and Area Managers to maximize bancassurance activity and penetration at all PBCs and key retail branches.
Monitor market trends and competitor movements to continuously refine the bank's HNW insurance proposition.
2. Frontline Sales Support & Capability Enablement
Directly support and enable Bancassurance Advisors (BAs) by providing on-the-ground coaching, joint-field work, and advanced technical support for complex, high-ticket cases.
Lead the strategic Banca capability uplift and continuous technical training for both the BA team and the PVPB frontline.
Champion the integration of insurance solutions into holistic wealth preservation and asset distribution pitches for the bank’s HNW clients.
Foster a highly collaborative, competitive, and compliant sales culture that minimizes attrition and maximizes productivity.
3. Sales Governance, Tracking & Reporting
Establish and manage a rigorous weekly sales tracking, pipeline management, and forecasting solution across all assigned regions.
Deliver data-driven weekly performance reports, trend analyses, and strategic insights directly to PVPB leadership and Regional Head, Insurance and Wealth Planning.
Oversee and support all PVPB Banca reporting requirements to ensure timely business updates.
Take end-to-end ownership of all Replacement Policy and Persistency reporting, monitoring, and quality control for both the BA and PVPB segments.
Implement proactive remedial interventions and sales strategies for underperforming BA and centres based on weekly metrics.
Maintain highly effective, influential relationships with internal banking leaders and external insurance product partners to ensure seamless product alignment.
Job Requirements
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Professional financial/insurance certifications
Experience & Skills
Minimum 10 years of experience in bancassurance, or high-net-worth insurance distribution.
At least 5 years in a leadership/people management role, with a proven track record of managing high-performing sales teams.
Demonstrated experience navigating the nuances of both the Private and Priority banking segments.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to manage weekly sales data and convert metrics into actionable strategies.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to influence senior regional bank leaders.
