In this role you will be responsible for supplier quality assurance, supplier development, and new product introduction activities for precision casting and forging commodities, in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization, supporting global sourcing and supplier development activities across China and Europe, ensuring robust supplier capability, stable manufacturing processes, excellent quality performance, and on-time delivery of critical turbocharger components. Reporting to the Local Category Manager , you will drive supplier qualification, sample development, process validation, quality improvement, and supplier performance management while collaborating closely with global engineering, sourcing, and quality teams.

Lead supplier qualification, supplier audits, process capability assessments, and manufacturing readiness reviews for precision casting and forging suppliers.
Manage supplier sample development activities and ensure achievement of project milestones, first-time-right quality, and timely industrialization.
Drive APQP, PPAP, component qualification plans, process validation, and supplier quality documentation in collaboration with suppliers and engineering teams.
Conduct root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor supplier quality, process stability, and delivery performance while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base.
Support supplier capability development, manufacturing process optimization, and quality management system improvements through Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Collaborate with sourcing, quality, operations, and engineering teams to support localization projects, cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and risk mitigation
Your background:
5+ years of experience in supplier quality, supplier development, manufacturing engineering, commodity engineering, or quality engineering, working with precision casting, investment casting, forging, machining, or other complex metal manufacturing technologies.
Sound knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, 8D, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologies, as well as the precision casting, forging, automotive, turbocharger, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing markets.
Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, quality management systems, and engineering documentation tools.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in an international environment.
A Bachelor’s Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Fluent English and Chinese communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently to supplier locations within China and internationally when required.
