**This is an on-site position at our main campus/hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

Job Summary
Assists the EHW manager to provide leadership and development to the Employee Health and Wellness team members. Leads Employee Health and Wellness projects to promote health and safety of CW employees, non-employees and volunteers.

Essential Functions

• Leads case management for work-related injuries, including the accommodation process, delegating as appropriate to other nurses on staff. This includes monitoring protocols for workers compensation injuries and following the accommodations policy. It includes establishing strong communications during the injury or accommodation process with the employee and their supervisor/manager as well as with the worker’s compensation resources (e.g. workers compensation claim manager, legal resources, employee’s providers.) It also includes coordinating job reassignment with the assigned Human Resource consultant for employees unable to perform essential job functions.
• Collaborates with nursing team on other large department projects to ensure compliance with laws and adherence to deadlines for team member safety such as Influenza program, Fit testing, PCE program, TB skin testing, for cause testing, and blood borne exposure compliance. Coordinates/communicates with the department Medical Consultant and/or the Infection Control Chair regarding fitness for duty, ADA and other infection control issues.. Willing to respond to after-hours inquiries from the organization due to an exposure.
• Coordinates assessment and abatement of work place hazards which may include working with internal and external departments to assess ergonomic and air quality hazards.
• Keeps current with occupational health protocols for state and federal regulatory agencies (OSHA, Joint Commission, CDC, ADA, FMLA) and maintains confidential health records and generates departmental reports in compliance with State, Federal, OSHA, CDC and Joint Commission regulations. May include coordinating the preparation of the OSHA 300 log and all recording/posting responsibilities.
• Attends meetings as needed to represent and make decisions on behalf of Employee Health and Wellness.
• May perform duties of an EHW nurse.
• Performs people management responsibilities for employees which may include but are not limited to: employee engagement, recruitment, performance management and development

Education

• BSN or ADN required
• Board certification in occupational health nursing preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years nursing leadership experience required
• Case Management, Occupational Health, ER or community health experience preferred
• Computer experience with Microsoft Office required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Good organizational skills required.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, walk, and stand frequently.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 35 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to lift above head occasionally.

Licenses and Certifications

• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required
• Certified Occupational Health Nurse - American Board for Occupational Health Nurses preferred
• License RN-Registered Nurse (30) - State of Wisconsin required
