Overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, ensuring safety, and controlling inventory

Key responsibilities involve coordinating activities like receiving and shipping, training and evaluating employees, maintaining accurate records, and optimizing efficiency to meet company standards. They act as a liaison between warehouse staff and management, coordinate with other departments, and ensure that all operational policies and safety regulations are followed.

Core responsibilities

• Staff management: Supervise, train, evaluate, and schedule warehouse staff; assign daily tasks and workloads.

• Inventory control: Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy of goods.

• Operational oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, packaging, and shipping goods.

• Safety and compliance: Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and that all staff adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

• Efficiency and optimization: Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and decrease costs.

• Coordination: Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.

• Administrative duties: Handle administrative tasks, prepare reports, and maintain necessary paperwork related to warehouse operations.

Education

• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business, Marketing or related field

Knowledge

• Good communication skills both oral and written

• Knowledge of ERP systems (i.e. SAP)

• English
