Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the engineering and field services for Substation Automation Systems, including DCS and RTU.
• Handle the engineering and field services for Protection, Control, and Tele-Protection panels.
• Lead and develop the technical team by providing training, mentorship, and day-to-day technical support.
• Analyze customer requirements and specifications, and propose innovative, cost-effective technical solutions.
• Design substation LAN networks and communication architectures, and configure industrial Ethernet switches, routers, and satellite clocks/time synchronization systems.
• Participate with the Project Manager in meetings with customers, end users, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support project planning to help ensure key milestones are achieved according to the project schedule.
• Follow the department’s standard design processes and contribute to their continuous improvement.
• Support Sales and Tendering teams.
• Prepare and deliver customer training sessions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control, or Communications Engineering, or a closely related technical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in the Testing and Commissioning of Protection Relays and DCS (IEC 61850) for electrical power substations HV/EHV.
• Knowledge of sequencing and interlocking principles used in substation automation and their implementation on IEC 61850 IEDs.
• Working knowledge of communication and automation protocols such as IEC 61850, MODBUS, IEC 60870-5-101/104, T103, and SNMP.
• Good understanding of IT/OT networking; CCNA certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability and willingness to travel within and outside the country without limitations, as required.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (oral, reading, and writing).
