ABOUT THE JOB
Anduril's Supply Chain team scales the production and business growth behind every program we ship. The Subcontracts Administrator is the owner of Anduril's major subcontractor relationships — driving complex, high-value subcontracts from RFP through award, execution, and closeout in support of both current programs and future proposal captures. You'll work at the intersection of engineering, program management, legal, quality, manufacturing, and the supplier itself, navigating FAR/DFARS compliance and government acquisition practice while keeping the technical scope, cost, and schedule tightly aligned.
This is a role with unusual breadth — you'll see every division and business line at Anduril, and you'll have real ownership of the projects and process improvements that shape where the Procurement team goes next. We're looking for subcontracts professionals who bring extreme ownership, comfort in ambiguity, and the ability to move fast without dropping compliance rigor.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Own the Full Subcontract Lifecycle: Run the RFP-through-closeout process end to end — proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration, and closeout — on complex, high-value subcontracts.
- Draft and Manage Technical Scope: Generate clear, defensible SOWs and Subcontract Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs) that stay tightly aligned with the negotiated technical scope, and drive change management when scope shifts.
- Lead Commercial Negotiations: Review subcontractor proposals and negotiate price, terms, deliverables, and schedule while generating the FAR/DFARS documentation required to close.
- Support Prime Proposal Captures: Partner with Contracts and PM during prime proposal efforts on flowdowns, proposal schedules, and subcontract evaluation documentation in support of capture.
- Manage Ongoing Performance: Monitor subcontractor cost, schedule, and technical performance, run variance investigations, and drive product acceptance and deliverable reviews.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Work seamlessly with program management, engineering, legal, contracts, proposal, and procurement teams to move subcontracts through the gates without stalls.
- Improve the Machine: Lead, streamline, and scale Anduril's subcontracting process itself — the volume is growing fast, and the person in this seat gets to shape how we run.
- Ensure Compliance: Keep every subcontract compliant with FAR/DFARS, CAS, ITAR, and internal government-contracting requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in law, accounting, finance, business, supply chain management, or a related compliance field.
- 3+ years of experience managing high-complexity, full-lifecycle subcontracts across multi-discipline programs.
- Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, CAS, and ITAR compliance.
- Track record evaluating subcontractor performance and deliverables against negotiated technical and commercial terms.
- Ability to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA (relocation supported if not already local).
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep familiarity with government contracts and Cost Accounting Standards.
- Self-starter with a bias toward action and problem solving.
- Experience developing high-tech, high-mix / low-volume products.
- Prior time in a fast-paced, start-up or scale-up environment.
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
