Opportunity Overview

The Student Success Coordinator serves as the primary advisor and point of contact for an assigned caseload of students from onboarding through graduation. The role provides proactive, relationship-based academic advising and success coaching; guides students through registration, progression, academic policies, and institutional processes; and coordinates timely interventions when academic, personal, or administrative barriers may affect persistence or completion. The Student Success Coordinator partners with faculty, program leadership, and college support areas to connect students with appropriate resources, maintain continuity of support, and promote retention, persistence, successful program completion, and

timely graduation.

What You'll Do

• Serves as the primary advisor and point of contact for an assigned student caseload from onboarding through graduation, developing ongoing advising relationships and providing timely, individualized guidance throughout the student lifecycle.
• Provides comprehensive academic advising related to program requirements, course sequencing, registration, progression, academic standing, institutional policies, and graduation planning; assists students in developing and maintaining a clear path toward timely program completion.
• Proactively monitors assigned students for academic progress, registration status, persistence risks, and other indicators that may affect continued enrollment; conducts targeted outreach and documents follow-up to support retention and student success.
• Responds to early alerts and other student concerns by assessing needs, coordinating appropriate interventions, developing student success plans when needed, and connecting students with tutoring, academic support, financial aid, counseling/well-being, accessibility, or other college resources.
• Partners with faculty, program chairs, and other college stakeholders to address student concerns, clarify academic expectations, support progression, and coordinate strategies that reduce barriers to persistence and completion while maintaining appropriate student confidentiality.
• Maintains accurate, timely advising notes, student records, outreach documentation, and caseload tracking within designated institutional systems; uses available student data and reports to prioritize outreach, identify trends, and support follow-up with students who are not registered or may be at risk of stopping out.
• Supports new-student onboarding and transition activities, including orientation, advising preparation, registration support, and communication of key academic expectations, resources, deadlines, and responsibilities.
• Provides success coaching that strengthens student skills in areas such as goal setting, time management, study strategies, self-advocacy, decision-making, and use of college resources; makes appropriate referrals for specialized academic support.
• Supports student persistence, engagement, and completion initiatives, including outreach campaigns, workshops, graduation preparation, college events, and other activities designed to strengthen students' connection to the college and progress toward completion.
• Protects confidential student information and performs responsibilities in accordance with FERPA, institutional policies, applicable requirements, and professional standards while contributing to continuous improvement of advising and student-success processes.

What You'll Bring

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
• Excellent communication, computer, organization and time management skills required.

Preferred

• Master's Degree preferred.
• Expertise in academic advising, student outreach, and caseload management.
• Experience in higher education and student services preferred.
