JOB PURPOSE:

Assist the Sports Medicine staff in operations of the Athletic Training Room.

• Technical Skills: Learn job specific modalities and gain expertise in check-in procedures and logging treatments into an electronic medical records system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Care and prevention of athletic injuries

• Assist athletic training coverage at varsity team practices and games (sometimes off campus).

• Assist with stocking supplies, cleaning duties, making ice bags, performing inventories, athlete sign-in procedures, setting up/breaking down sideline equipment, acting as “extra eyes and ears,” and running modalities under the supervision of the certified Athletic Trainers.

• Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College

• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification preferred.

SCHEDULE:

• To be determined
• Mostly "on-call"/fill in shifts for students unable to make their work shift due to scheduling conflicts.
• Must be open to and available for occasional morning (6am-9am) and weekend work.
• Normal shifts usually begin at 1:30pm and extended until all in-season team practices are done for the day.

RATE OF PAY:

• Current OR Minimum Wage
