You will establish the governance, cadence and accountability required to keep enterprise deals aligned, raise submission quality and improve win outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and embed a consistent governance framework for strategic deals, including qualification criteria, decision gates, roles and responsibilities, risk escalation, approvals and executive oversight.
  • Establish a disciplined deal cadence with clear milestones, workstreams, owners and dependencies, ensuring submissions are delivered on time and to the required standard.
  • Partner with Sales and BSG to shape the win strategy, customer value proposition, competitive positioning, key messages and executive narrative for each pursuit.

  • Coordinate inputs from Sales, BSG, Finance, Product, Legal, Commercial, Security and other subject-matter experts, resolving gaps and maintaining a single, coherent response.
  • Lead RFI and RFP responses, setting best-practice standards for compliance, content quality, review cycles, version control and submission readiness.
  • Facilitate kick-offs, solution and commercial reviews, red-team reviews, executive checkpoints and final sign-off, driving timely decisions and constructive challenge.
  • Ensure proposals balance customer value, solution feasibility, contractual position, risk and profitability, with clear assumptions and approval trails.
  • Build and maintain reusable bid assets, response libraries, templates, playbooks and lessons learned to improve quality, speed and consistency across future pursuits.
  • Track the strategic bid portfolio, identify delivery risks early and provide concise reporting on progress, decisions, dependencies and required interventions.
  • Use win/loss reviews and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, strengthen bid capability and continuously improve the enterprise deal process.

SKILLS

  • Demonstrable experience managing complex enterprise bids within a SaaS, ICT or enterprise software environment.
  • Strong knowledge of RFI and RFP best practice, including response planning, compliance management, structured reviews and submission governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the confidence to align senior leaders and cross-functional teams around critical decisions and deadlines.
  • Strong project management capability, including planning, prioritisation, dependency management, risk management and delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to maintain quality and attention to detail under demanding deadlines.
  • Commercially astute and able to interpret customer needs, market dynamics, competitor positioning, pricing considerations and deal risk.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical and commercial complexity into clear, compelling executive-level content.
  • Structured, analytical and outcome focused, with a strong bias for action, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Experienced in facilitating governance forums, challenging contributors constructively and securing timely approvals.
  • Comfortable working across global, matrixed and multicultural teams.

Key Success Metrics

  • Improved win rate and progression of strategic enterprise opportunities.
  • On-time, compliant and high-quality RFI and RFP submissions.
  • Consistent adoption of the strategic deal governance framework and review cadence.
  • Clear ownership, timely decision-making and effective risk escalation across bid teams.
