Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Record all inventory movements (receiving, issuing, returns) using manual logs or inventory software.
- Ensure stock is properly labeled, organized, and stored in designated areas.
- Report low stock levels, damaged goods, or discrepancies to the Storeroom Supervisor.
Receiving & Issuing Materials
- Receive incoming deliveries and verify quantities, descriptions, and quality against purchase orders.
- Assist departments by issuing materials, tools, and supplies as requested.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and coordinate with carriers when required.
Storeroom Organization & Safety
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe storeroom environment.
- Follow proper storage procedures for chemicals, hazardous materials, or sensitive items (if applicable).
- Ensure all aisles, shelves, and storage equipment are neat and compliant with safety standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Update inventory records, stock cards, and tracking systems daily.
- Prepare routine reports on inventory movement, shortages, or warehouse activities.
- Assist with audits and regular stock reconciliations.
