Job Title : Staff Software Engineer

Impact and Contribution

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will provide technical strategy and guidance across medium to complex engineering initiatives. You will drive strategic programmes of work, including proof-of-concept development, provide technical consultancy across projects and delivery teams, and establish strong engineering practices and technical direction.

• Develop software solutions by analysing information needs, system flows, data usage, work processes and problem areas throughout the software development lifecycle.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience implementing modern and emerging technology stacks.
• Experience building and maintaining development infrastructure and automation frameworks.
• Strong programming and scripting skills, particularly in Java and APIs.
• Good experience with AWS, UI, APIs and Continuous Integration tools.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
• Experience working across Scrum teams, offshore teams and vendors.
• Strong automation and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage and guide engineering teams and ensure successful project delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience in debugging, code maintenance and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with build-management tools such as Maven, Gradle and Ant.
