We are looking to add an experienced and talented Staff Quality Engineer to our team. In this position, you will serve as a trusted quality engineering resource, advancing product and process quality through quality planning, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role strengthens manufacturing and operational performance by evaluating quality systems, improving process capability, and implementing quality strategies that ensure products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
Working cross-functionally with quality, engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management, this role supports quality assurance, process improvement, product validation, and manufacturing activities while ensuring products and processes comply with quality standards, customer requirements, and business objectives.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead quality assurance activities by evaluating product and process requirements, quality system performance, inspection results, and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with established standards.
Develop quality strategies that improve product quality, process capability, manufacturing consistency, and customer satisfaction while supporting operational objectives.
Evaluate quality risks, manufacturing performance, and process variation while implementing corrective actions and preventive measures that strengthen product and process quality.
Maintain quality records, inspection documentation, nonconformance reports, and quality data within quality management systems to support compliance, traceability, and reporting.
Develop quality metrics, process capability analyses, inspection summaries, trend reports, and operational dashboards that support business decisions and quality improvement initiatives.
Evaluate quality trends, audit findings, process performance, and corrective action effectiveness to identify opportunities that improve quality system performance and operational excellence.
Partner cross-functionally with quality, engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and finance to align quality objectives with operational priorities and customer requirements.
Communicate quality risks, inspection findings, process concerns, quality trends, and improvement recommendations to stakeholders to support informed operational decision-making.
Coordinate quality activities that support manufacturing readiness, product acceptance, customer requirements, new product introductions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive implementation of quality process improvements and operational initiatives that improve product quality, manufacturing performance, and process consistency.
Develop quality procedures, inspection methodologies, audit practices, and operational standards that strengthen quality system effectiveness and organizational consistency.
Contribute to continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, manufacturing operations, and overall organizational performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with 8–12 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 6–8 years of related experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related discipline.
Advanced knowledge of quality assurance, quality engineering, manufacturing quality, and process improvement principles.
Expertise in quality management systems, inspection methodologies, product verification, process control techniques, quality planning, and risk-based quality management.
Experience applying quality procedures, inspection documentation, nonconformance reporting, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), audit processes, and quality reporting methodologies.
Knowledge of quality standards, root cause analysis methodologies, statistical process control (SPC), measurement systems analysis (MSA), process capability analysis, and continuous improvement principles.
Familiarity with internal auditing practices, manufacturing quality requirements, regulatory compliance expectations, and quality system governance.
Ability to evaluate quality trends, identify operational risks, and implement practical quality solutions that improve product quality, process capability, and manufacturing performance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate inspection results, process capability, manufacturing performance, and quality system effectiveness.
Demonstrates sound judgment when balancing quality requirements, manufacturing priorities, customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives.
Experiecne with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, e.g. Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent applications.
Expertise in quality management systems (QMS), e.g. ETQ Reliance, Arena QMS, MasterControl, or equivalent applications.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Manufacturing experience in the aerospace or electronics industry.
Six Sigma Black Belt / Green Belt Certified.
AS9100 / ISO 9000 Auditor.
