Position Summary

• Design and develop complex and large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights and addresses reporting needs.
• Develop frameworks, standards & reference material for architecture and associated products.
• Write complex ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, designs database systems and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
• Deploy analytics programs, machine learning, and statistical methods to prepare data for use in predictive and prescriptive modeling.
• Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using modern data engineering technologies.
• Generate reports and updates to inform leadership of Data Engineering operations, recommending ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including the executive, product, and design teams to assist with data-related technical issues that support the company's data infrastructure needs.
• Act as a SME on data engineering projects, sharing project developments and clarifying requests with stakeholders to ensure operations comply with stakeholders' standards.
• Coach junior-level team members and share knowledge with the broader company team to disseminate project plans and improve department operations.
• Collaborate with data science team to generate data tools for analytics, transform data and integrate algorithms and models into highly available, production systems.

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 years work experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related discipline
• Adept at problem solving and decision making skills
• Adept at collaboration and teamwork
• Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
• Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
• Adept at business intelligence
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with cloud systems like GCP, Azure and AWS
• Experience building solutions that utilize GenAI capabilties.

Education

• Masters degree in Computer Science or other relevant Engineering degree

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
