Job Requirements (Principal Responsibilities)
- Works closely with scientists and engineers to develop new products, formulations or prototype equipment and conduct standard/non-standard procedures and tests.
- Follows experimental plan as set by project leader. May prepare logistics, materials and equipment.
- Executes various chemical and physical laboratory tests involving synthesis, processing, characterization and related troubleshooting with attention to observations and learning. Clearly documents work in notebook.
- Maintains work area in compliance with safety rules and regulations. Participates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safetay training requirements.
Education/Experience
- Science technician (e.g. German CTA) with minimum of 2 years of laboratory hands on experience or
- BSc in chemistry, electrochemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering and minimum 1 year of laboratory hands on experience
- Understanding of laboratory terminology, equipment, procedures and safety practices. Knowledge of basic principles of chemistry and/or engineering.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify out-of-range results and note unusual patterns. Ability to populate and organize data in assigned format to ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Communication abilities in English and German
