Position: Sr. Lab Technician
Division: Hand Tools & Storage | Global Test Labs
Location: Taichung
Position Overview:
Within the Hand Tools & Storage division of Stanley Black & Decker we are currently looking for a Senior Lab Technician to join our Global Test Lab. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and verify unique testing equipment which supports a wide range of hand tool products qualification and analyze their performance.
Major Responsibilities:
- When machine assembly completes or machine delivers to the site, inspect and verify that machine specifications and functions are consistent with the original requirements
- Prepare machine operation SOPs
- Must understand mechanical structures and the principles of hydraulic, pneumatic, and other automation components
- Work closely with design engineers to complete special-purpose machine development projects
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Good mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- Minimum 3 years’ experience - 5 years preferred (“hands on”) in traditional machine operation, such as lathes and milling machines, etc.
- A working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- At least 2 years of experience in special-purpose machine development/maintenance
- Proficient in 2D/3D design software for machine design and development
- Good communications skills in written and oral
- Basic English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills required
Work Environment:
- This job operates in an office/laboratory environment. The work environment is 100% indoors. Noise level is moderate. Ear/Eye Protection necessary when tests are running.

- Occasionally (1-33%): Moderate lifting (-50lbs.), Driving, Pulling, Pushing, Twisting, Climbing (-10Ft)
- Frequently (34-66%): Reading, Speaking, reaching, bending, stooping
