Senior Financial Analyst – JLL

What this job involves:

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Regional Shared Service Center, delivering financial services to clients across the LATAM region. This role drives end-to-end financial management for assigned client accounts, encompassing client funding and billing, collections oversight, payment control, month-end close processes, comprehensive reconciliations, and detailed P&L analysis. You will apply strong analytical capabilities and sound judgment to navigate complex local tax and accounting requirements while serving as the primary bilingual (Spanish/English) financial liaison among clients, on-site operations, vendors, and internal teams. Your work ensures accurate, timely financial delivery and champions continuous process improvement across our regional operations.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Manage client funding and billing cycles: Prepare monthly funding requests, issue invoices according to contract terms, and resolve billing inquiries efficiently.
• Oversee collections and payment control: Follow up on open accounts receivable with clients, escalate delayed payments appropriately, and reconcile cash receipts as they are received.
• Execute month-end close and compliance activities: Own accruals, reconciliations, and ASC 606 revenue recognition reporting; approve journal entries, P-card transactions, and T&E reports; ensure accurate application of Puerto Rico tax regulations; support annual restatements and assessments.
• Coordinate operations and purchase order management: Manage 1xPO activity, reconcile GRNV (Goods Receipt Not Invoiced) with site teams, and review JBS accounts payable work to identify and correct errors and duplicates.
• Deliver financial analysis and reporting: Run monthly P&L reviews, conduct labor and budget variance analysis, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations with actionable recommendations.
• Build and maintain key relationships: Act as the bilingual (Spanish/English) point of contact for clients, approvers, site operations teams, and vendors to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives: Document standard procedures, develop backup coverage plans, identify and implement process enhancements, and support broader JBS initiatives and projects.
  

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in financial analysis or accounting experience in a corporate environment, including P&L and balance sheet analysis, accounting reconciliation, monthly close processes, and revenue recognition
• Bachelor's degree (Licenciatura) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• Advanced English with business-level written and verbal communication skills for effective client and vendor interaction
• Demonstrated high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in financial operations
• Advanced proficiency in ERP and management software (JD Edwards E1 experience strongly preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, communication, and time management capabilities with proven ability to prioritize multiple deliverables.
• Proven client-facing experience managing funding/billing cycles and collections, including escalation management with client approvers and vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
• Solid working knowledge of US GAAP principles (e.g: ASC 606) and local tax compliance requirements for billing operations; Puerto Rico tax knowledge is a significant advantage
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, document financial processes clearly, and train team members effectively
• Strong ownership mindset for critical month-end deliverables and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with purchase order and invoice management systems and client procurement platforms
• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives and building scalable financial procedures
