Level 4 Sr Associate Software Engineer: 

Role Description: 

The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications that meet business and technical requirements.  

• Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of front-end applications using React.js (preferred) or equivalent UI frameworks, and back-end services using modern programming languages and cloud technologies.  

• Build intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces following enterprise UX standards and design system guidelines.  

• Develop reusable UI components, integrate RESTful APIs, and optimize application performance for improved user experience.  

• Participate in software design discussions and contribute to technical solutions using modern software engineering best practices.  

• Develop innovative solutions by leveraging Generative AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI-assisted development tools.  

• Translate business requirements into high-quality, maintainable, and secure software solutions.  

• Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and reliability.  

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.  

• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.  

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, API specifications, deployment guides, and operational procedures.  

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, UX/UI Design, QA, Data Engineering, and DevOps to deliver high-quality software solutions.  

• Develop and integrate applications with enterprise platforms, APIs, databases, and cloud services.  

• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to integrate machine learning models and AI capabilities into enterprise applications.  

• Support the development and maintenance of MLOps pipelines for model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.  

• Deploy and support AI/ML-enabled applications in cloud environments while ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.  

• Participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation and automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.  

• Monitor application health, investigate operational issues, and implement improvements to enhance reliability, performance, and availability.  

• Assist in automating operational tasks, monitoring, and incident response to improve system efficiency and reduce manual effort.  

• Stay current with emerging technologies, software engineering practices, cloud services, UI frameworks, and AI advancements, applying them where appropriate to improve products and development processes.  

• Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning. 

Basic Qualifications and Experience: 

Basic Qualifications: 

• Master’s/ Bachelor's degree and 5 - 9 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience 

Must-Have Skills 

• Solid foundation in software design and development principles, including object-oriented programming, RESTful APIs, microservices, cloud-native applications, and containerization.  

• Hands-on experience in UI engineering using React.js (preferred) or equivalent modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js, including component-based architecture, state management, responsive design, and integration with REST/GraphQL APIs.  

• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, responsive web design, accessibility (WCAG), and modern UI development best practices.  

• Hands-on experience with full-stack software development using frameworks.  

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and developing applications using cloud-native services.  

• Understanding of Generative AI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and AI-assisted application development.  

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or similar to improve software development productivity.  

• Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems, databases, and third-party APIs.  

• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.  

• Experience developing, testing, debugging, and deploying software applications using Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing  

Good-to-Have Skills 

• Experience with UI component libraries and design systems such as Material UI (MUI), Ant Design, Fluent UI, or equivalent.  

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.  

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Datadog.  

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation).  

• Understanding of secure software development practices, DevSecOps principles, and OWASP security guidelines.  

• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and collaborating with designers to build intuitive, accessible, and responsive user experiences.
