We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team to focus primarily on credit memo reserves, special reserves, and other related credit accounting functions. The accounting team this role would join is responsible for Revenue and AR and has visibility to business leadership This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented accounting professional with solid, well-rounded fundamentals and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Candidates should be comfortable working with others.

The ideal candidate combines a strong accounting foundation with hands-on data analytics experience — able to build and maintain models and processes that clean, aggregate, and automate large datasets, then apply sound accounting judgment to the results.

What You'll Contribute:

• Maintains credit memo reserves and special reserves (revenue price concession and AR bad debt allowance reserves), ensuring that balances are accurate and conform with GAAP standards.
• Prepares supporting documentation and schedules for reserve balances for internal review and audit purposes.
• Distinguishes appropriately between revenue price concessions and AR bad debt write-offs, applying correct accounting treatment and classification to each.
• Analyzes data and other financial information to verify accuracy and identify trends.
• Timely delivery of financial information to stakeholders.
• Supports month-end close processes through journal entry preparation and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of records and properly documented support.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries into credit related accounts, such as General Ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
• Prepares and posts journal entries and General Ledger reconciliations related to the AR and revenue reserves function.
• Records journal entries and reconciliations associated with credit memos, concessions, and loss contingencies under ASC 450.
• Interacts with internal and external auditors as necessary to complete audit requests timely.
• Maintains knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SEC requirements, and other relevant accounting regulations.
• Prepares statistical and financial reports, both on a regular and specially assigned basis.
• Builds and maintains repeatable data workflows (Power Query, SQL views, scripts) that replace manual spreadsheet steps in the close, reconciliation, and reporting cycles.
• Sources and joins data across ERP, billing, CRM, and data warehouse systems; validates completeness and reconciles to the system of record before using it in reporting.
• Identifies manual, error-prone, or time-intensive accounting processes, redesigns them, and quantifies the result in hours saved and errors reduced.
• Designs automated reconciliations and controls that are auditable, with documented data lineage from source system to reported figure.
• Translates accounting logic into technical requirements and partners with IT/BI/Business Systems on data models, report builds, and system enhancements.
• Completes special projects as assigned on an ad hoc basis.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field – or equivalent (Required)

Work Experience:

• 3+ years relevant work experience (Required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent analytical skills to assist in financial analysis required
• Knowledge of SEC regulatory agency reporting requirements and standards
• Knowledge of internal controls and SOX requirements
• Ability to translate large, raw datasets into audit-ready, GAAP-compliant financial information

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4-7 years relevant work experience
• Public accounting experience
• SaaS / Technology Industry experience
• Certified Public Accountant
• Advanced Excel: Power Query or other query tools
• SQL — able to write joins, CTEs, and aggregations against a data warehouse without help
• Python (pandas) or R for data cleaning, matching, and recurring analysis
• Power Automate, Alteryx, or comparable workflow automation
• Close automation platforms (BlackLine, FloQast, Trintech)
• Cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse)

Working Arrangements:

• Standard work week or as defined by assignment requirements
• Primarily works in standard office environment or remotely
• May require after-hours, on-call support and/or holidays
• On-call and after hours work during peak times including end of month/quarter/year; during this time PTO is limited to meet business needs
