What You’ll Do 

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing general accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role works closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports. 

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. 

• Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate variances; analyze purchase price variance (PPV); reconcile and analyze work-in process (WIP) balances; monitor aging WIP orders and escalate unresolved or at-risk items to appropriate stakeholders.
• Conduct comprehensive margin analysis and establish reporting cadences to ensure key stakeholders have timely visibility into margin fluctuations, enabling data-driven decision-making

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheet accounts. 

• Analyze financial data and investigate variances. 

• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls. 

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. 

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation. 

• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset transactions for accuracy. 

• Maintain and improve accounting processes and procedures. 

• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide technical guidance. 

• Collaborate with departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial reporting. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

• CPA designation preferred. 

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience. 

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. 

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics). 

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with financial statement preparation. 

• Knowledge of internal controls and audit procedures. 

• Experience with budgeting and forecasting. 

• Process improvement and automation experience. 

• Leadership or supervisory experience.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $86,000-$100,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
